The Kakatiya University is situated in the city of Warangal in Andhra Pradesh. The region is also known as northern Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh. The University has got its name from the Great Kakatiya dynasty, which ruled this region during 12th and 13th centuries. The Warangal was the capital. The term “Kakatiya” strikes an emotional chord in the hearts of the Telugu people. The university offers numerous graduate and postgraduate programs through regular and distance learning modes.
