Andhra University Distance Education

Andhra University was established in 1926 in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the oldest universities in south India. The university has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘A’ grade.

Andhra University is presently providing education to five districts which are Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam.

Andhra University School of Distance Education

The university started its School of Distance Education in 1972. The school is one of the pioneer institutes in the field of higher education.

The students who enroll with the school of distance education of the university follow the same syllabus and regulations which are followed by the regular students of Andhra University. The degree awarded to the students is also the same and recognized by regulatory bodies like University Grants Commission (UGC).

Andhra University Admission Procedure

Admissions are usually made during June – August of every year.  However, in case of BA, B.Com. and Certificate Courses, admissions are also made during January – March of every year.

Information and admission applications can be obtained from the Office of the School of Distance Education or from Study Centres as per notifications published from time to time.
