Maulana Azad National Urdu University

The Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) was established in 1998 by an Act of the Parliament as a Central University with an All India jurisdiction.

Since its inception, the Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has been working towards promoting and developing the Urdu language, providing higher, technical and vocational education in the Urdu medium and providing focus on women’s education.

The University is fully funded by the University Grants Commission and functions under the aegis of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
