The State Board of Technical Education & Training (SBTET), Andhra Pradesh is an autonomous body for administration of examinations and to see after the academic requirements of Polytechnics in the State. The organization was established on 1 June 1984. The Director of Technical Education is the Chairman of the Board.
Since its formation the board is striving continuously for betterment of academic standards. The board has independent administrative, academic and financial powers and is committed to carry out the functions as laid down in section 6 of Andhra Pradesh Education Act 1984. The board has updated curriculum of all polytechnics once in five years (1990, 1996, 2000 and 2005). For more details please click here.
